Committing war crimes (including: psychological torture, repeated physical maiming and disfigurement of soldiers, and indirectly causing suicide in her patients. ) As Yosano was only 11 at the time and forced into her work, these crimes are moreso personal hauntings that she is unable to forgive herself for.

Yosano was 11 years old when she was drafted by the Mafia as a child soldier for The Great War. By using her ability, she could completely heal soldiers from fatal injuries, sending them back out to the warzone time and time again. Originally, the soldiers were thankful for her healing, calling Yosano: Miss Angel. However, after what seemed like hundreds of times, the soldiers became shells of themselves and begged to die. Despite this, the mafia forced Yosano to keep healing them. Subsequently, she was given the name: Angel of Death.
Eventually, Yosano underwent a mind break after soldiers committed suicide. She planted explosives, meaning to take all the soldiers and her down with the ship. However, she was detained and sent to an isolation facility for 3 years, cursing her existence the whole time and wondering if she had the right to live.
This is when the Armed Detective Agency saved Yosano and ever since has been learning how to live and save lives.

Yosano first and foremost appears as a calm and collected individual. She rarely outwardly expresses her emotions, aside from anger and pleasure, and is known to speak in a straight-forward and monotone voice. This is because, firstly, Yosano is a logical thinker as a doctor, and, secondly, not many things actually bother her. She is often seen with the playful characters of BSD entertaining their antics and going along with whacky plans without any resistance. She sleeps in a lot, loves to drink, and will often play games with other members of the agency; however, her persona is never cheery or excitable.
Additionally, She is always well-dressed, and spends a lot of time on her appearance—as seen in BSD when she forces her co-workers to go on huge shopping trips with her—all to appear sophisticated and dignified.

Underneath Yosano's cool exterior is the joy of both inflicting and receiving pain and humiliation. This mostly derives from the nature of Yosano's ability, where her patients must be near death before she can fully heal them. So the process of inflicting further injury is one that Yosano relishes in.
On a deeper level, because Yosano was forced to heal so many soldiers from the brink of death when she was a child-soldier, her only way of reclaiming control over her ability is through finding pleasure from it. In the same stroke, because Yosano believes she treated lives as playthings, she now looks to inflict pain on herself as atonement.
Now as she has grown older that trait has continued over to less serious acts, such as treating her co-workers as personal errand or bag boys, threatening to do surgery on them, inflicting pain when someone wrong hers. But at the bottom of it all, she inflicts this pain so they are reminded of how precious life is.

Yosano, despite her darker tendencies, is at heart a good person. I typically describe her as chaotic good, because, while she does mess with people and is sadistic in nature, her maxim is the importance of life and helping any and all in need.

She is incredibly protective of life and generally dislikes anyone who sees people as expendable. She will do anything to save her comrades and, more than that, anyone in harms way. Her rough exterior is marked by a kind and soft soul. Yosano even becomes a motherly figure for Kyoko after she was abused by the mafia, wanting the girl to experience life in a positive manner.

Due to her history, Yosano struggles to reconcile with being alive. She views her very existence as a curse, explored multiple times in the canon when:
- she locked herself up in a cell after the Great War in fear of hurting anyone else,
- allowed a victim's family to kill her if they wished,
- discussed with Ranpo if she should be allowed to live,
- and accepts her execution from The Hunting Dogs without resisting.
Despite Yosano's love for life and want to live, she has been unable to shake the guilt of her previous actions. And markedly accepts negative outcomes for herself and sacrifices herself for other people. This a rather hidden personality trait that is usually covered by her relaxed and calm persona, but in heightened and stressful scenarios her self-loathing tends to come out.
Abilities: THOU SHALT NOT DIE
Yosano has a rare ability among ability users, Thou Shalt Not Die, which allows her to heal all external wounds as long as they are fatal or the person must be "half-dead". Due to this, her ability is inconvenient for healing minimal wounds since she needs to fatally injure that person first.
Upon activating her ability, several butterflies appear to come out from her body and land on the surroundings. When touched by them, the injured will have their injuries healed instantly.
Yosano tries not to use her ability too often (though she will torture others and inflict surgery, when necessary), so other people don't take life for granted and so she isn't used in the process.
